Castilleja is an independent school for girls in grades 6-12.

Our Students

Castilleja’s student body reflects the cultural and economic diversity of our region.

Many students live in Palo Alto and surrounding communities, while others commute from San Francisco to the north, San Jose to the south, and various neighborhoods in the East Bay.

Our challenging 6th through 12th academic program is enhanced by our global curriculum, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programming, and leadership opportunities at all grade levels.

Castilleja fosters leadership skills in the classroom and in a variety of co-curricular offerings, including athletics, clubs, community action, student government, dramatic and musical performances, peer tutoring, teaching assistantships, and internships.

Our Faculty

We are passionate about teaching young women to become intellectual partners through mentorship.

Castilleja faculty members are dedicated to educating young women for a lifetime of learning and leading and have been recognized by local, state, and national organizations for their contributions to student learning on our own campus and beyond.
